You are bidding on a 100th cover of a set of 100 first day covers containing stamps issued in the Marshall Islands commemorating the 50th anniversaries of the 100 most significant events starting with the invasion of Poland and ending up with the end of World War II on VJ day, September 2, 1945.
This 100th cover depicts the 50th Anniversary of the end of the greatest conflict in history on September 2, 1945. The cover is cancelled in Majuro proper on September 2, 1995, 50 years after the surrender. The cover bears one 75 cent Scott #524 "V-J 1945 - Foreign Minister Shigemitsu and General Umezu" stamp. This is a beautiful and unique cover to own.
