    Description

This vintage Nautilus oven range hood is a standard 36-inch width and 6-inch height, with a mounting depth of 12 inches and total depth of 16.25 inches. Marked as model FP-1, it was manufactured in 1962 by Major Industries of Chicago. This hood was covered on decades of heavy grease and stains. It was completely dismantled and meticulously cleaned. All internal parts have been thoroughly cleaned and washed, then carefully reassembled. The stainless steel finish shows some minor scuffs and scratches, as well as a small protruding dimple/dent to the left of the exterior vent (see photos). Fan and light are both tested and working, but the fan's on/off switch does not work. It is stiff and hard to press, and will not cut power to the vent fan when engaged. The fan stays on when connected to 110v AC power, and the switch will either need to be repaired or a new switch or on-off button will need to be wired in. If it can't be repaired, you could add in a wall switch during installation, or install a small switch or button on the vent hood itself to control the fan power. You will also need a replacement grease filter, probably a 23" x 11" x 3/8". It looks like it fits two filter thicknesses. The top layer is the standard 3/8, and a lower insert trough measures 1" thick. Light socket is designed to use an incandescent appliance bulb.
